The Joys of Buying an Older Home

Our current house was built in the 1980’s, which doesn’t quite put it into the realm of being an ‘older home’ but some of the same aspects were definitely there when we first walked in.  Dated lighting, flooring, paint, fixtures, etc.   But, for the right buyer, an older home can represent an exciting challenge and a chance to make it uniquely their own.  So, this fun article from The Lighter Side of Real Estate definitely hits home.  It reminded me of when we initially walked through our current home and some of the thoughts that went through my head as we looked through a weird mix of the 1980’s with partial updates to different areas of the house.
